QUICK GUIDE TO EAR SEEDS

What are they?

Ear seeds are small adhesive acupressure tools. They are little stickers with a tiny vaccaria seed in the middle designed to apply pressure wherever they are placed. They can be placed on the ear or other acupuncture points along the body.

Acupressure is used to manually stimulate acupuncture points without piercing the skin. This can be done by hand or with the help of ear seeds. Ear seeds are unique because they apply continuous pressure while in use, which can increase the healing benefits.

Acupressure can be used for a variety of issues such as headaches, stress, nausea, insomnia, and much more!

How to use them:

  1. Locate the acupressure point you’d like to stimulate. Scroll down to read about 3 beneficial points where you can place your ear seeds.
  2. Clean the area you’d like to place the seed with some rubbing alcohol. If you don’t have this on hand, soap and water will do the trick since you are not piercing the skin.
  3. Remove one sticker from the pack.
  4.  Place it firmly on your chosen acupressure point while making sure all the adhesive is in contact with the skin.
  5. Stimulate the point whenever you are feeling the symptom you’re trying to resolve. Do this by placing your index finger on the sticker. Press down with deep pressure for 15-30 seconds, and then massage it in a circular clockwise motion for another 15-30 seconds. Alternate actions as needed.
  6. Remove the ear seed after 3-5 days. If it becomes achey or painful you can also remove it at this time.
  7. If you have known allergies to adhesive or vaccaria(type of seed), this tool may not be suitable for you. Use at your own risk.
